This issue of Caesurae (Vol 5:2) in its Translations section carries a one-act play written by Prof. Chandrashekar Patil, a well-known Navya (modernist) poet/playwright in Kannada, who subsequently moved away from modernist position to identify himself with Bandaya (resistance/revolt) movement in Kannada. The play Appa, meaning father, is translated by Prof. Nikhila. We are also adding the link to the performance of the play in English uploaded on the web. Prof. Chandrashekar left this world in early January, 2022.
